xp: Anyone have a Crane (brand) humidifier?

So we have the elephant and I've noticed after just using it once or twice that the base gets "warm"--it's not hot or anything--just warm. We had the frog previously and I just don't recall it getting "warm" like that.

So I thought I'd reach out and find out if anyone has the elephant (or other crane humidifiers), if your "base" is a little warm??

The idea that a fire could start in the middle of the night scares the heck out of me so siding with caution and we haven't been using it...but maybe it's just normal for that type.

We have the front too and never had that problem. I would call the manufacturer , they might replace it.

I had two cranes. The frog and the duck. They both sucked. We went with the germ guardian one that looks like a radio. We love it.

We have the exact same humidifier, elephant and all. It doesn't get warm like what you are saying and we've been using it for almost 2 years.

We have the raindrop one (I don't know if that's what it's called but that's what it looks like) and we don't have that issue. I'd call.

I've been using the frog for DD for 3 winters now and the elephant in our room for two winters with no issues. Neither get warm. Maybe the one you have is defective? You can try to exchange it.
