I am definitely hands on with Nora's learning, but the preschool discussion has been thrown around in our home since it's not that far away we would have to decide on registration.
Do you plan to preschool? What age? And do you feel any preschool will suffice? Or are you looking into a Montessori or something comparable?

Re: preschool discussion
IKR? But really, I know some preschools fill up fast, especially in a city. I'm debating whether it would be worth it to drive Nora to another town's preschool similar to Montessori or just take her locally. The one out of town has a waiting list...
Since junior kindergarten is (for most schools and will be for all schools next year) full day, we won't do anything before that. Lily will be starting that the month before she turns 4.
I like the theory and idea behind Montessori, but we won't be doing it. We will almost definitely send our kids to French immersion, though.

DD's daycare is a learning center. So, it sort of transitions to a preschool setting. I love that I don't have to think about moving her until it's time to look for kindergartens.
She moved from the infant room to the toddler room this week and I'm already seeing big growth from her spending more time with bigger kids and doing more focused projects.

DD will start preschool in Sept for 3-4 days a week. She will do one year of preschool, one year of pre-k and then enter kindergarten at three months shy of turning 6. We will prob do the same for DS.
We were planning on sending her this past Sept but with the pregnancy and then loss, I lost track of time and we lost her spot. She really could have benefitted from it this year but I keep telling myself that she will be in school for so many years that it won't make a difference.

Since Violet will not start school until almost 6 I won't put her in much until after she turn 4. IMO they can learn a lot being home with mom. Oliver and Audrey both did preschool for 2 years before kindergarten. Audrey started K at 6 and Oliver turned 6 at the beginning of Oct.
Oliver really needed to get used to being in a class setting. Audrey needed it more for the learning aspect. We did one ran through our high school it was a steal. I started signing the kids up for little classes here and there at about 2.5-3 year. They have little toddler play times and activities through my city's community center.
No to the preschool, yes to some form of organized activity. Gymnastics, sports what have you. Enough exposure to other kids to socialize him but these years go by so fast, I am going to enjoy being at home with him as much as possible. I blinked and my little girl is suddenly 2 months away from being 4.
This exactly.
This is exactly what I am looking into for E.
