chicken pox

Ella got the chicken pox vaccine 10 days ago. The nurse that day did tell us that she could get a small rash that your not suppose to feel and barely see. The rash Ella has goes is from her head to her toes and you can feel it. Also the bottom of her feet and hands are red. When I called the dr they said its normal to feel it (why the other nurse told me different idk) They did say it could also last for a month and that she can give chicken pox to anyone who hasn't had it (great we have a 10 month old in the house too) Did anyone else have this bad of a rash from the vaccine? Everything I read online said they could have a small rash in the area where the vaccine was given.

Re: chicken pox

  • Gator hasn't had the vaccine so I cannot comment on that part but the advice nurse once told my cousin that hand, foot and mouth disease WASN'T blisters...except the first thing you see when you look it up is that it is blisters covering your hands, feet and mouth. Nine people in the family had it, and it was confirmed by a doctor the next day. So some nurses really don't know what they are talking about. Hopefully your LO feels better soon!
