I used a Hotsling with Noah for the first 4 months. I am using one with Kate now too. They both love it. I also like the mei tei (like babyhawk) but it's not as quick or easy.
Last time I used the Bjorn a lot, along with a ring sling (made by someone local, so not a brand name). I also used a homemade one from a friend of mine, but it was a wrap and there was just so much fabric that I never got the hang of it.
I recently bought a Baby K'tan on the recommendation of the lady who owns Hip Mama Couture (over on 72nd Ave at the Bird Rd. Arts district) and plan to try that with the new baby this time. I tried to make my own baby k'tan-ish sling with Cedric but by the time I did it, he was kind of old for it and I didn't use it much. We'll see if I have better luck with one made by a company!
I loved, loved, loved my Maya Wrap - it was easy to use, awesome material and super comfy for me and baby. Brandon slept really well in it as I walked around and did everything I needed to do in the restaurant, it was awesome!
Re: I need some sling advice and recommendations.
