cried watching A Baby Story today

I watch this show almost every morning, and today a little boy was born who did not develop fingers on one hand. The other hand was perfectly fine. The parents werent aware until they saw his hand since the ultrasounds didnt catch it. They handled it really well though. I know in the grand scheme of things something like this is minor, but it just really affected me. I hugged DD extra tight and reminded myself how lucky i am to have a healthy baby. You never know what life is going to throw at you. It just made me so sad, he is this sweet innocent baby who will have this challenging condition as he grows up. poor lil guy.

    Oh goodness, that is so sad... The good news is that his deformity will be "normal" for him. I know a baby who only developed two fingers on one of his hands. He does great with it! His hand is pretty much useless, but it doesn't stop him at all. He is the cutest little thing you have ever seen! I totally know what you mean though. I think I take Renee's health for granted much too often. Thanks for the reminder!
