Would you buy a used Boppy? I know the covers are removable and from what I've read you can wash the pillow itself also. Just trying to get a sense of whether the 10 is a steal or if I should just get a new one.
I have 2 boppys I picked up at garage sales. They were both in great shape and think I paid $5 for 1 and $2 or 3 for the other. Gave one to my mom since she watches the little ones for us while we work. They are still like new (I put a waterproof cover on boppy and then a decorative cover on top of that, so boppy really can't get dirty). We will continue to use them for this baby as well and then probably put them on our "all done with babies" sale!!!
I would just buy new. Whether you can wash it or not, it's unreal how many various bodily fluids can get on that thing. I'd prefer if they were only mine and LO's.

We bought a used one through my husband's internal work ads site. It's in really good shape. I washed it and its covers thoroughly. I say save a few bucks where you can!
I wish I would have purchased ours used with my son since we hardly used it. It would have been money saved that we could have spent elsewhere. Just make sure that it looks like it's in decent condition- I don't really think it's much different that buying other items used- clothes, swing, bouncy seat. No matter how many times that bouncy seat has been washed you still don't know if that baby had 0 or 50 explosive diapers in there.
You may want a new one since they may be used alot. My almost 9 yr old still sleeps with his I had to buy him a new one recently.. My 4 yr old still sleeps with hers.. My 6 yr old however didnt use hers too much so she told me I can use it for the baby I washed it and are getting new covers for it and being its going from her to her sister it's not a huge deal but I'm still debating on buying a new one since a newer one will be puffier..I don't think however that I would take a used one from someone I didn't know but then again I don't take used clothes either from friends because you never know how someone's house is if they are clean if they have pets or smoke.. Plus a pillow is by your face daily and who knows what got on it. You can get boppys at walmart or target cheaper too or on sale at BRU plus I know target was having a baby clearance sale maybe try that.

I bought mine "used" from ebay.. Even though I should be (after working in surgery for 3 years) I am not at all germophobic. I emailed the woman before buying to ask how "used" it was because I do know that they have a tendency to get flat after they've been used for a good while. I got it for $12 and I was soooo happy I decided to take a chance.. It looked like it had only been used a handful of times and wasn't at all dirty. Of course it'll be washed before using - but my opinion is that if you can find a "used" one that's only lightly used - go for it!
