Hi, Has anyone used either freedom fertility pharmacy or village? I am looking into both but want to make sure that they are reliable and not some generic off brand. I am scared of ordering online these days.
Thanks for the quick responses. Freedom is cheaper per vial of Bravelle but with Village I get a free trigger shot if I order all 12 vials that I need.
I am just scared that it will be sent from some random company and not be name brand and not know what it actually is.
I've used freedom multiple times. They are legit and my first RE recommended them. Good luck!

I had an issue with Freedom during my last cycle in November, and a friend just called me about her problem with them yesterday.
In my case, I was at the point where I was ordering my Menopur 1 day at a time, and had placed an order for 3 vials and received it with no problem. The next day, I ordered 2 vials, and everything was confirmed over the phone. When it didn't arrive at the usual time the next day, I called to ask for my tracking number and was told there was none and they had no record of my order. Nobody could tell me what happened, but said they assumed someone thought it had been a duplicate order and just cancelled it, WITHOUT checking with me first. They tried to locate it locally (after 3 hours of calls, I finally did), but were unable to. The closest they got was 2 hours away. They said they'd pay to have it couriered to me, but I'd have to buy all 5 vials, despite it being their mistake. So, had I gone that route, it would have cost me 2.5 times as much as it should have. Luckily once I located the meds, I got the call to trigger that night instead, but had I needed it, I would have been (and honestly, still was) pissed by the way they chose to handle it.
Yesterday, the same thing happened to my friend, only on her call, she confirmed it was ok to charge the total, whatever it was (was running insurance first) to her credit card, gave full permission. Well, same thing happened to her. They said they weren't sure she'd be okay with the total (a little over $1000), so didn't want to ship it without her approval. Turns out, they didn't confirm her phone number and had her old phone number, and couldn't reach her. She found out the next day, when she needed the meds too. Luckily, in this case, the clinic had some she could borrow and replace when her shipment came in today.
I will say that I had no issues when I used them back in the fall of 2011, but have to say I was extremely disappointed in how they handled my situation, and in large part, my friend's.
I used freedom twice. I think they were just o.k, the first time they quoted me a price and I ordered. When the meds came, the price they charged my card was $400 more than the quote. They didn't do anything about it, but said I could send some of the meds back(?) . They said it was my responsibility to get a written quote, not just verbal. Second time I ordered I asked for a written quote, but they said they don't give those because the price fluctuates so much... Little pissed off at that. Meds arrived on time, were correct, and fast.

I think I am going to try Freedom. I went with MDR which is who my RE refered me to but had horrible time with them. They werent badly priced but trying to get a hold of someone and of course being on a time sensitive schedule was such a pain. This was back in October. And just in the last few days it doesnt seem like they have gotten their act together yet. So that is why I have been looking for someone else.
I use Village, they have been fantastic. They overnight meds free of cost if needed, and shipping has always been free for us. We just call for refills or tell them what we need and it comes when we ask for it! No complaints here! Best of luck!

I use Village and actually pick up my meds in person since I live near it. I haven't had any problems with them. They've been great and I can tell you it's a real place, with nice people working there and not some crazy person running it out of their house or something!

This is what I always worry about with some of the smaller on-line places. Like that it's a crazy cat lady with boxes of expired stuff that she's hoarding...

Im glad to hear that other people have used Village and everything turned out fine.
I still have a few weeks before I need it. But I will be going with either one of these places.
we use village--they are awesome, free same day delivery, open mon-sat, not sundays, you can call the nurse 24/7 w questions and she gets right back to you, and they have a nice facility w great employees.

We used freedom and have both picked up from them as we live locally and had meds overnighted . They are a real place and have very nice people working there. When i chose not to drive the 45 minutes to the pharmacy and needed to refill meds in the middle of my cycle they were prompt with contacting my insurance, getting the correct co pay and overnighting the follistim for Sunday delivery. I would highly recommend them!!

Another Village fan here. Like PP, I live nearby so I pick up my meds in person. Not only are they a legit operation, they have also provided some of the best customer service I've had. The people I've talked to on the phone are incredibly nice, as are the people at the front desk. The pharmacists are helpful and will sit down and discuss your meds with you when they bring them out. I've also used their nurse line, which is really helpful.
