they counted 15 follies at the last visit, but my E2 as of sunday was only 1600, which would only equal about 8 follies. i read somewhere your e2 gets suppressed on the antagonist protocol...anyone know about that? wondering why my e2 is so low...

Re: E2 suppressed on antagonist protocol?
I don't know about antagonist suppressing your E2, but it definitely made my E2 crash. During my antagonist cycle my E2 started dropping the day of trigger. At my last monitoring appointment I had 11-12 mature-measuring follicles on the u/s and they ended up retrieving 7 eggs with only 4 of them mature.
8 is still a great number--good luck.

I didn't realize E2 is directly correlated with follies. My E2 was 2200 and they counted around 15 follies. On the day of ER, I had 27R 20M.

I'm not exactly sure but I'll tell you what happened for me. I stimmed for 10 days. My e2 on day 10 was around 1600 and they counted about 20-23 follies with 15 estimated to be mature. On day 11 (after trigger - no stims that day) it was up to 3,000. Retrieval was on day 12 and they got 25 with 15 mature.
I think e2 is one piece of the puzzle but it isn't everything. Just because you don't have exactly 200 per follicle doesn't mean you won't get plenty of follies. Also, that 200 is per mature follicle so imo you'd have to find out your e2 level on the day of retrieval for it to be accurate since it keeps going up until then.
