Do you color your hair? If so, do you do it yourself, or have a professional do it for you?

I dont currently, I used to get highlights done.

I dye my hair at home. It costs way too much at the salon I go to. I love my hairdresser but over $100 is a bit much when I can get a $20 box at the store! It's not professional I know but I just get all over color, no highlights so no biggie for me

I've always done it myself. I don't trust salons with my color, because I change it (drastically) frequently and my hair is very unpredictable at this point.

have never highlighted or dyed my hair. one of the reasons is its too expensive.

I figure I will though once I start getting grey hair

Yes I do, all the time. Sometimes I get it done, sometimes I do it myself, just depends on my mood.

I've gotten highlights forever.

For the last 6 months I was letting it grow out to my natural color and 2 weeks ago, I couldnt stand the roots anymore. So, on to the salon I went.

Now I'm regretting spending the money and having to worry about the upkeep now!

I've been coloring it since 8th grade. I get it done professionally because it's whiteblonde. I go every 4 weeks. I'm also in the process of growing out a pixie, so last week was my first real hair cut since July!

I get professional highlights regularly. I am a natural blonde but as I get older it's getting more and more ashy colored. I want it to be brighter so I color it LOL

Not anymore. Between pregnancy hormones and post-pregnancy hormones, it was futile. I do make an awesome redhead though. Some day I'll start again.

I might be one of the weird ones. I have never colored my hair. Its strawberry blonde and while I have been tempted to go blonder or redder. My stylist always talks me out of it.

Nope, au-natural here. I've been told I have really good natural coloring so I am going to enjoy it while I can. Once the grey hair starts coming in, which may not be long, I'll start dying it.
