I'm starting to worry a bit about how this is going to work. With DD we started her off in her crib but quickly moved her to co-sleeping in our bed since I was EBF and exhausted-it just worked better. She is now 3.5 and sleeps in her "big girl bed" but occasionally still comes to bed with us in the middle of the night/early morning, especially when she has a bad dream. (She comes and climbs in between DH and I so I don't worry about her rolling off the sides of the bed.)
The problem is that co-sleeping worked really well last time and DH and I were planning on doing it again this time (in fact when I was bugging him to set up the crib he asked me "why? she's just going to sleep with us anyway!" lol). However I'm starting to worry about how this will work. We only have a queen bed, and while the 3 of us fit OK there is NO way we can safely add an infant into this mix. DD is usually pretty groggy when she does come to us, so I'm sure she wont' remember and I'm afraid she's going to climb up and flop herself onto the baby if I'm not on top of things fast enough.
What options do I have to make this work? I was looking at an arm's reach co-sleeper but dang those are expensive, and money is tight right now already. What else am I not thinking of? Any tips would be appreciated!

Some versions can pose a suffocation risk for newborns.
I agree with either side caring the crib or looking for a used Arm's Reach.

My 2 almost 3 year old does the same! I'm currently TTC, & I plan on either getting one of the Arms Reach co-sleepers, or setting up the crib, not putting the front on it, & have it pushed up next to my side of the bed.
Hope that helps!
Yep, didn't think of that.
