soooo cold

At 9am it was -8, felt like -27. Now it is -2, feels like -20 with windchill.

So cold DH's work truck wouldn't start. He is finally worked today and their is a big rig tow truck in my driveway.

So cold that I can't keep enough wood in the fire. Usually if I fed the fire as much as I have today, it would be like 75 in here. Today, it is between 70 and 71.

Glad I have no where to be today. The mail even got here early so I made DH get it since he was dressed to be outside. It's so cold he has icicles in his mustache. He went to kiss me good-bye and it was cold. lol

We are having the same problem. Not sure where you are but I'm in Wisco. I have no idea what it is today but yesterday it was -8, felt like below 20. SO's truck wouldn't start either so LO and I had to take him to work so I could have our car (LO had doc appt or I wouldn't have needed the car). Our car had problems starting. It was freezing. I had to turn up the heat because it wasn't staying warm enough in here. So glad we don't have anywhere to go today! We are staying in the house with the heat turned up and cuddling under an electric blanket.

I walked outside to get lunch and the air froze in my lungs. According to my car, it's 16 degrees here.

Don't you wish you could literally freeze your a$$ off? It'd be worth being miserably cold if weight was dropping off my body while I stood outside!

I'm in western Maine. It is way colder where I grew up in northern Maine. Glad I don't live there anymore. lol.

I kind of wish it was just one of our cars that wouldn't start. Nope, it was the big bucket tree trimming truck. DH parks it at home so he can plug the engine warmer in. They think something else went on it and it wasn't just cold related. He finally got to work at noon. Had to use someone else's truck. Thankfully, I like his groundman because he was hanging out at the house all morning as they tried to get it started, called the boss, waited for mechanic, etc. They are getting paid for a full day at least.

Tomorrow is suppose to be slightly warmer.

It's ridiculously cold where we are to. I ended up asking DH to work this weekend so we could keep DS inside (he typically attends DC). I just felt it was to cold for him. Heck it's too cold for me!

Let's all concentrate on the tropics and see if that helps! Wink
