Red Scaly Rash

in Toddlers: 24 Months+
My son has a red scaly rash on his inner thigh. It's round and about the diameter of a golf ball.  I've tried diaper rash cream and jock itch cream.  Any ideas?

    It might be hives.  Ds had a severe case last year, when I toweled him off using a towel I washed in a different laundry detergent.  It sounds like an allergic reaction.

    It could be exzema or even a yeast rash.  My DD had a red scaly rash like this and it was exzema.  The doc told us to use lamisil and hydrocotisone twice a day.

    Sounds like eczema.  I have had it my whole life and my DS has it.  I have a giant red scaly rash on my right inner knee and thigh right now because the weather combined with my pregnancy has given my the worst case of eczema that I've had in YEARS.  eucerin lotion is a godsend.
