LO just started eating chicken and turkey. She gets 2 meals of about 4 tbsp but sometimes will eat a whole stage 2 baby food container. She has tried lots of veggies and fruits, so now we will start more combinations.
She had yams, squash, carrots, peas, green beans, apricots, zucchini, bananas, pears, apples, prunes, celery (sucked on a stick).
Re: what and how much is LO eating (solids)?
He's had broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, tomatoes, sweet potatoes, white potatoes, red peppers, green peppers, avocado, strawberries, raspberries, mango, banana, turkey, chicken, pork, steak, ground beef, whole wheat toast, pancakes, plain yogurt, eggs, pasta and meat sauce, pasta and tomato sauces, ravioli and tortellini, pierogies, brown rice. That's all I can think of off the top of my head, but DS just eats whatever I eat.
Do you watch for sodium at all? I refrain from giving her my food because of the salt.
I do. I make everything from scratch, minus the pasta and bread. I use whole foods always. When I make tomato sauce I use canned diced or crushed tomatoes, but with no sodium. I always, always, always check. DS gets probably 98 percent fresh, whole foods.
ETA: I don't cook with salt, either. I never have so this isn't a change for us.
DD has liked just about everything she has tried (pears, banana, peach, apple, peas, green beans, carrots, avocado, yams, squash, prunes, chicken, broccoli, mango - I am sure I am forgetting something)
Two exceptions - she HATES baby oatmeal and potatoes. She will spit both back out. This kid loves to eat so I am not worried about it!

DD is BF and gets 2 solid meals a day, sometimes 3. So far she's had:
baby oatmeal, green beans, peas, squash, sweet potatoes, carrots, apples, bananas, avacado, prunes, raspberries, brocoli, mango, pears, spaghetti sauce, chicken, turkey, beef, & she just tried some plain yogurt yesterday.
The spaghetti sauce resulted in a red bum so we're backing off tomatoes. The only thing she hasn't liked has been prunes.
ds3 eats 3 meals a day and pretty much eats what we eat. The only purees he gets is with his oatmeal for breakfast. Tonight he had chicken taquitas and corn.
I think every baby is different (man if I had a nickel for every time I heard that...) My best friend's son didn't eat any solids until 8 1/2 months. He just wasn't interested at all. then one day he was ready and loves food now. I think the whole ' food before one is just for fun' saying is nice, helps me stay relaxed about what dd eats, or doesn't eat.
