Found a $47 B-safe at Target

70% off!  Any solid reasons why I shouldn't keep it?  My sng is from 2007, so I need to test it in there (pretty different than today's model) but any other strollers we would be buying anyways (BOB Revolution and something smaller with full recline).

Such a great deal, I had to snap it up!

Re: Found a $47 B-safe at Target

  • That seems like a heck of a deal- and from what I have learned by asking around is that discounted car seats are typically old models they are clearing out and not returned/potentially used for safety purposes. I don't know Target's specific policy- but I would take it completely apart, wash and and then follow the directions to put it back together as some floor models are put together quickly and aren't intended for immediate use.

  • Sounds like it was an on-line return.  They don't sell B-Safe in the store.  Target prices on-line returns at a deep discount to get rid of them.

    Great deal!

Floor models at target specifically say not for re-sell.

I agree with LittleApple about it being a hell of a steal.

  • Most likely it's also an older model, so it will expire sooner than a non-sale seat. Not a huge deal, but you'll potentially get less use out of it if you wanted it for future children.

HAHA, I'm good.  This is #3, so if/when #4 comes it would be before 2018 (6 years for an infant seat, right?).

6 years from the date it was made, which should be listed on a sticker somewhere on the seat. It might not be an older model either. I have noticed quite a few online returns at Target that have recent dates.

This. I've bought some things that even DO have in the stores that were online returns at 70% while the identical in store item was full price. You got an awesome deal!
