Is anyone tracking their kids' heights on the wall in their house?

This is our forever home and I want to start marking Augie's height on the wall but I'm not quite sure where to do it. We don't have a pantry and all our doors have panels, which won't work.

I dream of the day I've got a wall full of marks and then grandkids coming over asking to have their height tracked too.

Have you seen this? I found it on Pinterest and I think it's a good idea. Even if you're in your forever home.. It's a "just incase" sort of thing that can be moved anywhere you go!

I don't know if this interests you, but my friend makes these on Etsy and I love them!

I ordered us one in a light maple that matches the hardwood in our house and looks like a real ruler. Hers is dark like this and matches her kitchen cabinets (but hangs in a hallway adjacent). I like it because you could always take it with you. Also, she's a total pro and it's really nice quality. Perfection, really.

ps: if you're looking at my friend's shop, she also makes the coolest custom family recipes. She and I used to do graphic design together and she kept it up as a SAHM.She's really good!

We got something like this, but right now, I am using the back of his bedroom door, right along the flat side.

My sister just got a little wooden one (kind of like what Cotton suggested) for B for Christmas. It hangs on the wall, it's personalized and has cute pictures painted on it. I love it. I don't think we are in our forever home, so I love the idea of being able to take it along.

We have a few on the inside of the pantry door, but this is not our forever home. When I was a kid, it was on the inside of our coat closet.

We got a vinyl sticker growth chart at one of our baby showers, so we stuck it on the back of a door and have been measuring the girls on there. We plan to be in this house until our kids are grown and gone, but should we move sooner than that I'll put a new door in the house and take this one with us since it's just a cheap hollow one that may need to be replaced someday anyway.

We have a growth chart. It's made of fabric and hangs on the wall in the nursery. My mom made it for her birthday, personalized and beautiful.

I have one like the one cotton posted, except ours is whitewashed. I love it! There is a very good chance we will move multiple times before our children are grown so that way I can take it with.

I don't know what the competition's pricing is like for this product on Etsy, but my friend Michelle really does a great job. I'm so glad you like it! She'll work with you on the color. She told me I could have any color that minwax makes, so that would be a place to start. Also, she can use different woods for the board (knottier or less so). These options might change the price, but she'll make sure your happy no matter what. Just convo her.

And spread the word if you like it when you get it. Mine sure is purty and I get compliments from everyone who walks into my kitchen!

One note, to be honest: I haven't recorded anyone's heights on it yet, in the 6 months or so it's been up. I'm nervous because it's sooo pretty Embarrassed

I bought a vinyl thing off Etsy. It kinda looks like a ruler. I'm pretty sure this is our forever home but just in case I wanted something removable. I write on it with a Sharpie.
