Tummy tuck after Csection

I had my consultation today.......

Little history: Just had my daughter 10 months ago and she's my last. She was my only Csection but because of 3 kids my abs have been seperated and I'm left with a loose roll of skin over my scar.

I have never been put to sleep and I'm absolutely TERRIFIED of it. I had a kidney stone that needed to be removed and the surgery was called off IN the hospital because I had such a panic attack. I was prepped, IV in and everything and the surgeon said she couldnt' do it because I was flipping out so bad. Needless to say, this is no different right. Still going to sleep. The doc said they will not use a breathing tube so that makes me feel better (not that I would know the difference at that point anyway).

Money isn't an issue. If I want it, I can have it. I just have to get past going to sleep and having drains. Scares the Shiz out of me.

What do you all think? Would you do it? I've been working my butt off at the gym and I'm feeling really good about my progress but this stomach is just bleh and I can't fix it other than surgery.

  • Girl just exercise.walk a lot cuz the surgery may not help and make worse so I walked mine off and eating less junk food and more veggies and fresh fruit and less fried food will help.watch your carb and eat more proteiiin like fish.surgery shouldn't be necessary.

  • If it will make you happy, go for it. I am all for things like this if it truly will make you happy. Sometimes a gal has to do something bit for herself and I say more power to you if you want have one.

  • I would wait until my little one was 2 before doing this. At 10 months PP, you're still in the infant stage and you haven't been able to heal, work out enough, etc.

That being said, I personally wouldn't have elective surgery now (have in the past), but if it's what you want, go for it.

If that would do the trick believe me I would know. I've been working out like a fool for 6 months now and the rest of my body has done awesome. The doctor felt my abs....they are seperated. NO amount of good food or exercise will fix that. I have had 3 kids, my skin is stretched. Again, good food and exercise will not get me my elasticity back.

Like I stated above, this will not be a walk in the park for me. I'm absolutely TERRIFIED of having to go under to get this done.

I just wish it was an easy decision for me. So many people go under ALL the time and it's no big deal. I hate that I'm so afraid of it or I'd be in that O.R. tomorrow.

  • I am all for whatever makes you happy. If I needed a tummy tuck I would join you. I had a breast enlargement almost 8 years ago and do not regret it one bit. I myself have had many surgeries and taken them all like a champ until last March when I needed a total hip replacement at age 32. I freaked the eff out right before I was wheeled in. Its normal to worry and wonder. But you are in Gods and a docs hands so keep an open mind. If you can do it and need it then I say do it!!! And even though I dont need one I am still very jealous of you getting one :)

  • I would do it if I could get over the fact that they practically slice you in half. I stupidly watched one on some show on Discovery a few years ago and the surgery looked gruesome (more so than other surgeries I've stupidly watched).

There's nothing wrong with it - if you'll feel better about yourself and you can get over the fear of being put to sleep, go for it!

Well in MY mind it's the same as a Csection ;)

Please never look up the difference in the surgical cuts lol! But I would still do it if I could get over a few little fears and there was no other way to get a flat stomach - go for it!
