We have been co sleeping with our baby since he was born. As I am finishing up nursing, I am getting ready to move him to his crib. The problem is the minute he is laid down in it, even deep asleep, he wakes up. Any suggestions???!?!
she has wonderful ideas for transitioning from cosleeping to a crib. she also addresses the issue of waking while being laid down. the solution is putting baby to bed while he is just a little bit awake, but vvveeerrryyy sleepy, so he isn't scared when he wakes up in a different place from either your bed or your arms. we are using the book right now, and LOVE it.
We're working on this too. I feed him solids before his bath and then a bottle after to make sure hes full and then get him good and asleep and lay him in crib, after about an hour and a half he cried. Instead of going to crib, which is in our room, we let him CIO. He cried maybe 10 mins the fist night and less than 2 mins the second night. We had been getting up if he woke more than than 3 hrs to feed him but last night let him CIO and he woke at 6( he went down at 10) which was amazing. I fed firm changed him and then he slept until after 8.
Re: Ending cosleeping
