1st Trimester

Does morning sickness typically "peak"?

Good mornin', sunshines.

Does morning sickness seem to have a "peak" and then start going away? I feel like it was super bad for a couple weeks and now I am starting to feel much better. Am I kidding myself? Is it going to come back with rage?

I feel like a new woman and I sure hope this sticks around.

 How is everyone feeling today?

Re: Does morning sickness typically "peak"?

  • I was wondering the same thing the last couple days. I'm still nauseous, but it's nowhere near as bad as it was. My breasts aren't as tender either. I was actually a little worried. Does this mean my hormones aren't as high anymore? Who knew feeling better would bring up more questions!

  • A friend told me her OB says it usually peaks around week 9-10, which seems to ring true for me, too.  It's nice to have a bit more energy and less nausea.  Though as I'm trying to tackle a bit more--actually just normal stuff I've put off for a while, I am getting more winded than before.

does anyone get more winded now?

  • I am on week 7 and can't quite remember what it feels like NOT to be nauseous :. So you're saying there is a light at the end of the tunnel but I should expect it to get worse before it gets better?? What works to combat it b/c it's hard to function?

I'm at 10 weeks and I realized that this morning. I only have it a tiny bit in the morning and as long as I eat something substancial right away I am fine. I am however always out of breath, even just walking up the steps!

I am definitely getting more winded.  At first it was freaking me out, but then I read that it's normal as well!

  • my nausea is also starting to get better.  I still have it some times but I can function now and when I do get it it's usually when I first wake up or late at night.

  • My OB told me that hormone levels peak around week 10, so morning sickness usually starts waning after that. I really hope she's right because this is just horrible.

  • I have been dealing with M/S on and off lately. I was feeling better a few days ago, but it hit me yesterday... big time and again this morning. I am 13 weeks now. It has gotten better but it comes and goes(:

I haven't vomited but I have definitely noticed an increase in nausea the last 5 days or so now. I do notice that if I eat regularly and don't let myself go hungry I feel a LOT better. I don't feel sick in the mornings. It usually hits me closer to lunch/early afternoon and lasts until the evening. But now that I've taken to eating regularly, the last two days have been so much better. 6 small meals instead of 3 big ones might help.

  • Mine started out bad with my first two kids right away and magically at 14 weeks it just stopped. Now with this one, ms didnt start until yesterday (8 weeks) and I am praying that it will go away.

Two of my friends are pregnant; one has had zero symptoms and the other has been sick for her whole pregnancy. She is due any day and is excited to get the ms and the pregnancy over with! Good luck dear. If it gets too bad ask your doctor for some anti nausea medicine or get Sea-Bands. Another thing that helped me was sucking on jolly ranchers. Good luck hun!
