Wubbanub - first time use - sterilizing?

I am getting together all the nipples, pacifiers, etc to boil/ sterilize for the first time & I came across the Wubbanub paci. How should I sterilize it for first time use? The only thing I can think of is the steri cycle in the dishwasher. Any experience or suggestions?

    You can wash the toy in the washing machine and then sterilize the paci by suspending the paci portion in boiling water for 5 minutes or so.  We rested the toy body on the handle of the pot and used rubber bands to secure it just to make sure it would not dangle to the side and catch fire.  Air dry afterwards.

    Just hand wash it or put it in the dishwasher.  The one time I tried to sterilize a paci it melted...

    I put it in the washing machine whenever I want to clean ours. I'm pretty sure that's how it said to clean it on the package.

    This- I just went through this last weekend.
