s/o s/o s/o sex poll - getting out of a rut

Like Hav I am also in a sex rut.  We have sex maybe once a month and it's something we kinda have to remind oursselves to do.  We were never doing it 15 times a month like some of you though, lol.  I wish we had that kind of limbo!  So if you have been in a sexrut howdid you get out of it?  We make an effort aometimes to do it more frequently but then fall back into the rut after a week or so.

    After DD, we were in a bit of a rut. I felt too tired to have sex EVER. Then we created Sex Tuesday, Sex Friday, and Make-up Saturday. Meaning, we scheduled sex for every Tuesday and Friday night, and kept Saturday as a back-up day in case one of us just HAD to bow out on one of the other two days (or, if two days a week is too often/seldom for you guys, then whatever works best). It worked really well... once you get back in the groove, you wonder why the heck you got out of it in the first place!

    we have been in a rut ever since I was pregnant.  like you i felt that we had sex just to remind ourselves to do it.  I would say we would have sex 2-3 times a month.  I can really go without it, which is weird because i use to be such a horn dog.  we decided to be more spontaneous, we needed to.  Last weekend we were in the basement putting away xmas in storage and DH puts on the move (DD was asleep), it felt weird at first but I really liked it.  We just did a quickie while we were sorting....

    I agree with Joyfully and Kimbus, schedule it. We have scheduled pretty much every third day, but after awhile doing that, it was every other day.

    Also agree with Kimbus on the experiment with yourself and DH.

    I have read in articles before that it should be scheduled. It has always just seemed weird to me.  But it really works?  Doesnt it seem so strange?  Like your not in the mood cause you had a rough say and your tired and just want to go to sleep but the calnder says you have to have sex first.
