Is anyone else house hunting?

Is anyone else house hunting while prego? We are really smack dab in the middle of this process and we will probably not move until after DD is born. Our lease is up 6/1/13.

Does anyone have any advice? Thanks much!

    Yes and no? We *should* be house hunting, and we've contacted our realtor but we've done pretty much nothing. Now that it's evident we won't be moving before this LO gets here, I've resigned myself to the fact that we'll need to figure out condo showings with 2 kids underfoot. :-

    YES!!! We have been trying to find a house for 2 years now! I want OUT of this house! I don't feel safe in the house. The community is wonderful and I love it but not the house. The landlord won't fix anything it's ridiculous. I can't cook dinner unless DH is home because we have to plug it and unplug it every time we use it because when the oven says 'off' it is actually on. Then a few weeks ago our kitchen went all out of whack and now the lights dont work and only 2 out of the10 outlets work so I have to move appliances all around when I need something.

    The problem we have is that where we live either there are no houses in the school districts we like or there are BUT they are well over our price range. It is so frustrating. So we have land that we may purchase and build. We are thinking that either way we won't be out of this house until after LO arrives and hopefully at the latest fall. I just feel bad because DH is working on the nursery and painting and drawing a mural and if we move he will have to redo that. He said he doesn't mind but I told him he didn't have to.

    Yes!! My husband travels for a living, and he's out of state right now. I'm moved back to my hometown staying at my parents until my husband and I find "the house". It's something that we should be enjoying but it's more stressful then anything! I'm pretty much house hunting by myself until my husband comes back home I'm going crazy! All I want is for us to have our own house and be moved in before our little princess gets here!! Wish me luck and good luck to you ladies as well!!!

    Yes! We are due to close Feb 12! We were supposed to close on another hoise at the end of the year and we ended up  pulling out of the deal... long story! We have to move as we are busting out of the seams in this apartment. 

    What kind of advice are you lookong for?

    Not currently house hunting, but we did just recently close. We started the process in mid-October and finally closed the week of Christmas. I remember freaking out so much that we might not find a house in time to get truly organized and ready for the baby to arrive.

     What type of advice are you looking for? Stress-reducing advice, or house-buying advice? I'm choc full of both!

    We closed on out house at the very beginning of my pregnancy. My advice is to keep as calm as you can, because as you know house hunting can be an extremely stressful process and closing made me want to drink so bad! lol

    So again stay calm, be flexible, don't "fall in love" with a house and don't rush yourself.
