DDs on anitbiotics and it's really messing with her gut. I'm thinking of giving her some probiotic drops once she's done with her medicine. Just wondering if anyone has given a probiotic to their LO. Any recommendations? Thanks!
We started DD on probiotics to help make her poops more regular and decrease her general gassiness/fussiness. It's been almost 2 weeks and they've really helped a lot! We use the powered form because I couldn't find the drops, which I've heard really good things about. Whichever kind you use, drops or powder, many parents swear by them! Plus, her doctor thinks it's a great idea!
Probiotics are good for adults too, and if you're BFing you can take them yourself and small amounts will get to your LO through your milk. It's been recommended to me that I take them myself and give them to LO daily.
we use baby bifidactyl or abcdophilus. they're refrigerated. DS2 was on antibiotics and has constipation problems.
To my boys: I will love you for you Not for what you have done or what you will become I will love you for you I will give you the love The love that you never knew
awesome, thanks ladies! I didn't even know there was a powdered form, I'll check it out. Also, great idea to start adding them to my diet to pass on to her through milk

Florastor for kids is one of them. You have to ask the pharmary for it though. This is the one that my pedi recommends for babies. It doesn't require a prescription but they keep it back there anyways. Culturelle is the other one I use but for my bigger boys.
Great NYT article yesterday! https://well.blogs.nytimes.com/2013/01/21/microbes-linked-to-colic-in-babies/ Dr. Oz recommends Advocare's probiotic. I've been on it for a couple of years now and my husband just started. I break a capsule into his smoothie each morning, and he is loving it. One more thing...when they had to put my 4 month old on antibiotics last year, they recommended adding a probiotic to his bottle once a day. Turns out, Advocare was my pediatrician's probiotic of choice! This is the video from Dr. Oz: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hFutUBGY2fs and this site should link you to where you can buy them https://www.choosethechallenge.com/robb

HTH! GL!
We use Jarro-Dophilus, and DD loves it!
Hope your DD feels better soon!
