(I promise these aren't all rants!)
- Old guy with the house in Florida took an entire month off for the holidays. First of all, company policy is no more than 2 weeks off at a time, so WTF?! Also, when he came back, I asked him when we could meet as I had a few things to discuss with him. His response was "Whenever you're ready, I'm all caught up on my emails and messages." That was the afternoon of the day he returned. Seriously? Who takes a whole month off then only needs a half day to get caught up???
- When I came back from leave last time, I wanted to work with our account exec. She needed someone, I knew the job, we worked well together. Upper management shot it all down for a bunch of bogus reasons (I cost too much, she doesn't really need an assistant, etc.) In the end, I found myself doing the job anyways, just without the title. Well, they put up the posting for my replacement, and guess what... the posting is for an account exec assistant. Whatever.
- Speaking of ^^^, we met with our client today. At the end of the meeting, they asked when I was leaving, who was replacing me, etc. They were genuinely concerned/worried that things might not run as smoothly with someone else. It was nice to know they appreciate my work. 
- I could technically go on leave NOW. Paid maternity leave here can start up to 16 weeks prior to the EDD. I obviously won't do it, but it's nice to know I could if I really wanted to.

My dad always checks emails and makes phone calls on vacation. I'm just trying to figure out how he could be caught up already.
Your company seems... Quirky. The jello dessert, the phone lines, and not giving you the title you deserve. Again, the Christmas party jello. EW.
I do make it out to sound worse than it really is, huh? In all fairness, the problems stem from head office (cutting the xmas party funds, the funky phone lines...). The branch I work at is actually pretty laid back and is a good place to work at most days.
As for Florida guy, no way he worked while he was on vacation (you know this if you listen to him talk for about 2 minutes. pfft)

- I'm going back to school, starting this Summer. I'm nervous but so ready to finish what I started 5 years, 62 credits, 2 major changes ago.
- If not Ku'd this month we're going to hold off on ttc so I can manage school.
- My heart hurts for dh. His mom is always posting on FB about how proud she is of bil but never mentions dh,. Dh took the truck they gave him when he turned 16 back to them this weekend. His mom began talking about selling it/ trading it in. Come to find out, bil sold the truck he was given and kept every dime. I'm pissed because I see how differently Dh is treated. They have never given him anything...or even offered. Dh was jobless in 2009, they never told him they were there for him. We borrowed money from my parents to make the bills one month. Yet they have given bil thousands (16,000) and lent money to him to finish his house.
- On top of that, I feel Ike we are used for Lj. I think they want us around so they have her. Mil constantly takes the pics I post and reposts them on her FB. Lj walks around saying "mama" all the time and mil will reach for her and then act like she was referring to her as mama. Fil always says " give this to mama", as in give it to mil. Dh told il's that they could get Lj a lifetime hunting license for her birthday. All the paper work must be filled before her birthday so that it will be cheaper. This includes all of our info, proof of residency, Our Id's, proof of residency, etc. Mil then asks of they can just list Livy under them, instead of us.
I'm trying to think of something witty to post on fb about dh and Lj that will cover the last 2 randoms.

1. Good for you! What major?
2. This makes my heart hurt too. So sad.
I believe I'm going to go with Surgical Tech right now. There is a certificate program and a degree program, and I'm going for the degree program. I've also bounced around the idea of Radiograpgy and Rn but I'm waiting on my transcript so I can go talk to an advisor about the best option. Some of my credits may not transfer and some of my science based classes may have expired, so I need to get an idea of what I need to take. I want to be in a program by Fall 14 so my decision will be based mostly on that.

LJ - I am so sad for you and your H re: your MIL. Also, remember LJ knows YOU are her mom, not your MIL.
And don't worry about the "work edition" - School falls in the same category as work as far as I'm concerned. And your MIL is a real piece of work, so that counts too
