  • I take Mega Food baby and me.  I love them.  You can take them on either an empty or full stomach.

  • I started with One A Day, which made me gag, switched to Centrum, which I liked but are hard to find, and now I take the Target brand vitamins.  I really like them.  They're a bit smaller than the others I've tried, have a nice coating so they go down easy, and don't make me feel sick.

  • I take Prenatal Plus. I take it right before bed and it's never troubled my stomach which surprises me because I have a very sensitive stomach.
  • Thanks!

  • I have the same problem. It is the iron in the vitamins that upsets my stomach, As pp mentioned the gummy vitafusion do not have iron and are easy to take.

  • I take the CVS brand ones.  As long as I take them with food, they are ok.

  • I take the One a Day with DHA as well as a probiotic. I wait until after I've had breakfast before taking them.

  • I actually take a Trader Joe's multi that is not specifically prenatal, but my doc okayed it. I take one in the morning and one in the evening. It only has 18 mg of iron (9 mg per pill), but I think I'm doing a good job getting the other 12 mg from my diet. I have had no issues whatsoever with taking them. I do one as I finish breakfast and the other as I finish dinner.

  • I couldn't take them.  Doctor OK'd me to take my regular One A Day Women's (I take two of them to get the full amount of what I need).
  • Neevo dha. I have also struggled with orenatals in the past but not this one. GL!

This, except I take the Target version. I know I'm getting enough iron in my diet because I've had two complete blood counts and I'm within normal ranges.

I take the CVS ones too (the ones with DHA).  I have no issues regarding nausea but I do take them at night with a small snack before bedtime.  Good thing is that they are frequently  BOGO Free (online they might be right now).  My doctor actually recommended this brand.

I take VitaFusion vitamins available at most grocery stores. They are the sugar coated gummy vitamins, so they taste like candy. They also don't have added iron (I prefer to get it from food) so it helps avoid the constipation issue. I take them before bed and they have never upset my stomach.

    This! Exactly!

They're the only thing that doesn't make my stomach hurt.

  • My OB recommended Flintstones chewables when I told her I was gagging on all the other prenatals. I take one after breakfast and I don't feel sick at all.

This is what I do.  I switched from the prescription because it made me sick.

  • I take Nexa Select w/DHA. They are vanilla scented, coated capsules and have never bothered me whatsoever. I love the fact that my insurance picks up half the cost and then Nexa has a coupon that basically covers the rest (on their website). So, I get a high quality, prescription prenatal for free!
  • I just take a regular multivitamin, an extra B supplement (for the folic acid), a calcium supplement, and a fish oil with DHA.  I already was taking the multi and calcium before TTC, added the B a few months before we actively TTC'd, and added the fish oil at the suggestion of my OB.

  • I take prescription brand Nestabs with DHA; the Nestabs have a pleasant take and are easy to swallow.

  • I take Expecta DHA and Natures Plus Source of Life prenatal, which also contains probiotics. I
  • I take Shaklee Vitalizer for Women. They are already a really great multivitamin. I add a few extra supplemental vitamins due to my own special needs. Because I'm low on Vit. D I add those. I also have Hashimotos which has caused major dental issues that we've fixed surgicaly. So I add the OsteoMatrix. I'm carrying twins so I've added 1-2 extras of the previous ones I take, plus I take 2 Folic Acid, 3 Vit. B Complex because of twins and the Hashi's.

I will be adding the liquid Iron after I talk to the doctor about my blood results from the initial pregnancy blood draw. I know I will need it after delivery and will take it immediately after giving birth since I will definitely need it after giving birth to twins. I will stop taking the Folic Acid once I reach the second trimester.

For a normal healthy person, I do not recommend all these extras. I love the Shaklee Vitalizers. They contain probiotics also. I did a lot of research about vitamins and absorption due to my thyroid condition. The One A Days made me sick, the Flinstones have too much sugar in them. And most store bought vitamins aren't broken down in the digestive track enough for you to absorb what you need to absorb from them. I've researched tons but only as it pertains to me. Everyone will need to do what is best for them. What is best for me may not be what is best for you. I'm just answering what I do.

Good luck and I hope you find one that doesn't make you sick! (Most times its due to too much iron in it.)

  • I was taking gummies, but my OB switched me to the vitamed combo pack--he wanted me to have the iron.

The gummies were fine, the vitameds make me nauseous.  Bleccch.
