Advice: where to put twin bed in room

My daughter is almost two. She does great in her twin bed and we put it against the wall in the corner for the transition. However I'm not a fan of beds by windows or smushed up against walls. It makes the bed hard to make and I feel like it looks strange in front of the window, so I'm eventually going to move it. My question is, do you think it's a better idea to just leave it for a while for that added security feeling, or should I move it where I want it in the middle of the room? I kind of feel bad because I wonder if she likes it all up against the corner, but the heat vent blows right on her face and I just don't like it there permanently. Do you think one bed rail is enough on the one side with pillows on the ground on the other? Her bed is fairly low anyway (it's the pbk Catalina).

Is your toddlers bed against the wall in a corner or in the middle of the room? Which do you like better? Any thoughts are appreciated! Thanks!

Re: Advice: where to put twin bed in room

  • DD has been in a full size bed since right after she turned two, and it has always been in the middle of one wall (headboard against the wall, both sides open).  We had a bed rail on each side at first but now she sleeps without the rails.

  • my three year old's bed is against one wall, not in corner.

my baby's crib (and when my toddler was a baby) is in front of a window.
