I stole this from the old check in....
This group is for those of us dealing with male factor issues. We welcome everyone but mostly we are dealing with low count, motility, morphology or all three. Male infertility is a mysterious world filled with questions no one, including REs, urologists, acupuncturists or anyone else seem to have the answers to. Any treatment suggested is a coin toss for success and a 3 month wait for a fresh batch of swimmers. Most of us are told the only answer is IUI or IVF w/ICSI. The purpose of this group is to support each other through shared experiences and to share any info we can because the more informed we are the better. We have a check in every Sunday. Welcome and GL and PPVs to all!
QOTW: Are you a city girl or country girl?
Sorry if this posts weird. I'm still fighting with my new laptop.

Hello Ladies!!
We are still in the 2WW, but I am not very hopful, Negative HPT again this morning at 9dp3dt. Out of the 8 mature eggs only 4 fertilized, one didn't make it because of an extra chromosome and one didn't multiply well. We transfered 2 embies both were 6-cell, one was grade B and one was grade C. Tomorrow is beta day, if it didn't work we will be breaking till April to do some genetic testing and possibly moving on to a new RE.
Good luck to the other ladies cycling right now!
QOTW:I am a country girl! I hate cities and live in no where NH. I like mudding, bonfires, Country music, and big trucks!

We are currently waiting on our fertility report to hear how our embies are doing. Egg retrieval was Friday and they retrieved 27! 8 more than last time. I am so ready for my phone to ring with some great news!!!
QOTW: Well, my Uncle is a farmer and I was raised in the south but now I live in a big city. I would definitely say I am a country girl at heart!

Our follow-up with the new urologist is FINALLY tomorrow!!! (Only been waiting for an answer from this particular doctor since last March! Waited for an initial consultation until the end of November, then a month and a half for a follow-up??? He better be worth it!)
As of tomorrow afternoon, we'll know whether we're starting DH on a new treatment, or finally getting started on IVF in March/April. I'm not sure what to hope for at this point? In reality, I just want to get the show on the road. On the other hand, why not hope for a miracle? (Even though our hopes have been dashed by so many other doctors.) I'll update tomorrow
QOTW: I'm not really sure? When I think of "country", I think of farms and horses and cowboy boots. I'm not really a city girl though. I grew up in the boonies (have to take a boat to get to civilization type of boonies) but I'm not into mucking stalls or anything. I like being able to take my bike out, or go kayaking, and all the outdoor stuff that goes along with not living in the city, but I also love museums and theatre? I think this is why I live in suburbia. Close to the city, but not as far to drive to get "outside".
***EVERYONE WELCOME***
I'm still waiting for AF after the c/p and stopping meds. I'm only, ya know, 45 DPO. No big deal. -sigh- My WTF is on Wednesday though. FINALLY!
I'd say I'm both a city and a country girl. I live in a decently sized city and love visiting Chicago. But, DH's parents and my parents both live in the country, and I like that too! I think ultimately I need to leave near stores lol!

I finally made it to trigger day, yay!!! My belly is enormous! I guess it's a glimpse into how I will look pregnant. I have 16 mature follies, so I am hoping for a decent amount of eggs.
QOTD: I am most definitely a city girl. I grew up in the suburbs but have lived in the city since graduating from college. I love visiting family in the country, but 3 days is plenty for me! If there is no Starbucks or Target in a 5-10 mile radius, I will lose my mind. And food delivery, I definitely need that!

Good luck ladies! Sending lots of positive thoughts for the 2ww's and ER's.
We start Lupron next Saturday 1/26 for our first cycle of IVF w. ICSI. Feeling a good combination of excitement and scared sh*tless.
City girl all the way! Although I don't like other cities as much as I do my Boston (go Pats!). We ended up moving to a town south of the city, but by no means country. As much as I love Boston I just couldn't live with the parking on a daily basis. And DH and I would kill each other if we only had 600 sq. ft.
QOTD
I'm a country girl who loves visiting the city! I have to live somewhere with land, access to a river for canoeing, or driving down the road to 4wheel, but, I need to be close enough to a city to get away and see/do things the country doesn't offer.

Hi ladies,
AF decided to show up a week ago and I started on BC pills for IVF#2. I can't believe we are already started on #2. We are doing ICSI with this one as well.
I am a country girl but love spending time in the city. I love going to pay on our ATV's in the winter and go mudding in the spring on them. I live 15 minutes from town and so I enjoy going to town. Our town is small so I enjoy going shopping and eating in the big cities around us.

Hi everyone!
I'm at the beginning of the 2ww and doing fine for now. No big update other than that. Oh yeah, I still tested positive for the hcg booster but it's getting very faint, so the POAS craze can begin soon. I'm pretty convinced I'll have to do another fresh IVF/ICSI cycle, so that actually has taken a bit the edge out of this FET. I just hope I'll still feel this way a week from now... Yeah, right!
Good luck to all the ladies that are cycling or starting to, and lots of hugs to all those in need of them.
I would love to join your check in if that's ok?? I have been posting on the TTTC board but we are starting ivf w/icsi #1 tomorrow and I think this is a better fit for me. We have low count and low morph.
We are starting bcp tomorrow and doing a long lupron protocol with ER scheduled for 3/7 or 3/9.
QOTW: I would say city girl. I grew up in the suburbs of DC but went to school in Indiana so I have experienced both. I moved back home after school because it was a little too country out there for me.

Had my 7dpo progesterone draw, and I have lowish progesterone, and weak ovulation, is what they are calling it. So now, just waiting for AF to start, which should be tuesday, then going on Clomid, and the first week of Feb. we should be set for the DIUI, my DH and I are so excited! We have also narrowed down a donor, the sperm bank called me, b/c we did the picture match, and our top pick, was who DH matched to.
I grew up in the country, so I consider myself a country girl.

Finally finished my BCP and antibiotics this weekend, now just on the Lupron for a bit. Baseline is on the 30th then we start stims.
DH had a SA this past Friday morning, so I'm anxious to hear back from the RE in the next day or so and see what his counts are. We have a sample frozen for backup if we have to, but really hoping his count/quality is good enough to use a fresh sample on ER day.
QOTW:
I live in a smaller city and enjoy the perks of it. Having a Target and a Starbucks near by are a must some days. But growing up I loved going on camping trips and was actually a camp counselor for about 5 years in high school/college. So I do love getting away from the busy life and relaxing in the outdoors, too.
Hi Ladies! I'd love to join the check-in! We were diagnosed with Azoo in April 2012. After consulting with 2 different MFI Uro's, we discovered that DH has 1 missing vas deferens and the other side has 100% blockage, probably was cut during hernia surgery as a child. Uro believed a mTESA/MESA would be successful. We did the procedure in Sept and retrieved/froze 12 vials of sperm!!! We had our first attempt at IVF w/ICSI in Oct/Nov, we only had 1 embie and did a freeze all. Our FET in Dec was unsuccessful. We are on a much needed break but have a great plan for going forward with IVF #2 in March/April.
QOTW: I'm definitely a city girl at heart! I was born in PA, just outside of amish country, but i knew that small town life wasn't for me. As soon as I graduated HS, I moved to NYC and haven't looked back!
Went in for IUI #2 this morning. For IUI #1 we had 7 million post wash, today was 8 million. At least it's going in the right direction!
QOTW: I'd have to say I'm a little bit of both. I live in Tennessee, but I'm also living in the city
ETA: SA = 38% motility, 2% morph. I have the report, but I can't read what the count is. Would that be the ml?

Still hangin' around here waiting for appts. in February. It's now only 2 weeks to Uro and 3 weeks to RE, so I'm starting to get impatient.
QOTW: I'm definitely a city girl. I love being close to things like I am in CT. But, being from New England, I do love being so close to the country. Vermont is amazing in the summer time!

Thought I would check in, sorry if I am in the wrong place
Finance has had low T for many years, primary care treated it with injectible T. Has zero sperm count, in 2007 had a low count while just starting T cream. That 2007 count also showed bad motility.
Our first appointment with a fertility urology specialist at Mass General is tomorrow!
DH and I finally have a game plan! We are aiming to start the IVF process towards the end of March/early April. We found an office that we are happy with so all we need to do now is work out the financing. But I am really excited to have a plan in place! I am in the 2ww now trying the old fashioned way! Maybe we can get a nice surprise before doing the IVF cycle. A girl can dream, right?
QOTW: I lived in NYC most my life, so I am a city girl to the very core! Now I live in South Florida and event though it's a city, it's not my city!
September 2016- Surprise BFP without medical assistance! New Baby due June 2017!
