I know this is asked a lot but I never paid attention because I was against sleep training until recently. My youngest has been waking up, for the day, between 4:30 and 6:30 everyday. We've been gradually pushing up his bedtime but he wakes up earlier. He sleeps from about 8:30-9 to 4:30-6. He hardly naps during the day, 1/2 hr cat naps maybe twice a day. He's always happy though... My first son has always slept 11-12 hours a night with two naps so this is different for us. Any advice is appreciated.
Re: Early riser; best sleep training book
I did not get any sleep training books, but followed a suggestion someone on here said to try.
DS was waking at 4:30 to 6am every morning. I would try to feed him and get him back to sleep, but it never worked. About two weeks ago I tried to get him in the morning and,et him play for awhile before feeding him. Once he started to show signs of being hungry then I would feed him. Gradually he started sleeping in a little later each day. This morning he was not up till 8am! We did not change his nighttime routine or bedtime at all.
i am hoping this is not a fluke and he continues to sleep a little later in the am. Good luck
