that have an expiration date of April 11, 2008 (Yeah, it's oddly specific)
My mom likes to force...err... give things to us. She's not a hoarder, I promise, but obviously she had this WAAAAY in the back of her pantry or something.
Would you use them?
ETA: I don't plan to.... they're like $1.25 for pete's sake..... but I'm just curious because my sister said she would since she knows where they came from (clean, dry, pest-free pantry at my mom's house)
Re: Would you cook and eat lasagna noodles..
No...
NO.
I was at the cottage a couple of years back. For an irrelevant reason I pulled a box of, ironically, lasagne noodles from the back of the not-to-code anymore lazy susan. It had no nutrition label on it. Must have been back there since the 80s.
You never know what treasures some cottages hold.
Heck no! That is almost 5 years past exp date!
That's so weird.
I too am fairly lax on expiration dates... and something like lasagna noodles, whateve. But 2008 is quite a bit out of date, so even I would toss them.
Also agree with other poster, they are probably safe to eat, but I'd imagine the quality is poor after so many years
I also agree with PPs that I wouldn't worry about getting sick if I ate them, but that they were poor quality or decreased nutrition.
