we'll be staying at the ILs for a week later this month. should i just plan on getting in the tub with DD there? I'm not bringing the baby bath tub, but MIL isn't the best housekeeper, so I'm wondering about the state of their tub. thoughts?
we use either the tub or the sink at MIL's. i always lay a small towel down on the floor of the tub that dd can sit on so she doesn't slide around. but my MIL is a neat freak, so i never worry about the germ factor.
If the tub is clean you can use that. Johnsons sells these great little pre soaped washcloths that you just dip in the water to lather up that are great for travel.
We got this portable thing at BRU - its not inflatable, but comes in a carrying case. It's called mother's touch comfort bath sling. It can lay flat or has a kickstand to prop up. We've been using it for about 4 months now. It dries fast too if you can hang it on a towel rack in the shower.
I also take DD in the shower with me while DH waits for me to hand her off. I have found that getting the J&J disposable washcloths are great in the shower. They are really sudsy are great to use one handed.

Can you get one of the blow up tubs and take it with you? That is what we do at the IL's. They don't have a bath tub, just stand up showers.?
