I swore I would never buy them but my daugther wont eat any veggies!! at 27 months she is giving us such a hard time- but she will eat ALL AND ANY of those pouches- so for veggie sake I give it to her!
Yep! And we love them. I get the Plum Organics ones at BRU when they are 10 for $10. Great way to get a variety of fruits/veggies in my LO, especially in the winter!
I haven't used the veggie ones in awhile- I tried when they were younger but they never seemed to like them..but I do use applesauce & other fruit mixes, they're great on the go and esp when I don't want to give them a more traditional carb like snack (fish, cheerios what have you) for whatever reason.
I originally bought them when DS was the appropriate age for them and we were traveling... now it's become a "treat" at home and in their lunch boxes at preschool, and great car ride snack for DD and DS. We travel a lot too, and it makes me feel better if they have a pouch with a meal vs. fast food chicken and french fries alone. Plus at BRU they have 20 for $20 deals all the time, and if you use your VIB card you get 10% back on the card, so it ends up being a pretty good deal (but still much more expensive than fresh fruits and veggies)
My DD loves them! I buy them less frequently now- but if we have hit a rough patch were she won't eat fruits or veggies, I pick up a few of them. Like PP said, they are also great for on the go. I dont feel bad about it at all.
Just curious, why did you swear you would never buy them? At least the ones I buy (Happy Tots, Plum Organics) the ingredients are pretty much just the fruit and maybe asorbic acid (lemon.) I guess I don't see it any different than pureeing your own fruit and veggies but just more convenient.
Only when he's sick (b/c he'll always eat it) or at Target to calm him down. If it's money you're talking about they have the make your own by Squooshi & possibly others, tho I haven't tried that route.
We do not. When my kids have gone through phases where they didn't want to consume veggies, we pureed our own into smoothies. There's lots of yummy, easy recipes online that add vegetables and taste great. I make homemade pasta sauce from scratch and add lots of veggies in that since my kids have always been a fan of pasta.
Something else that's really important to practice is putting fruits/veggies on their plate every.single.meal. Even if they don't eat them the first time you keep trying.
My daughter is iffy about them. Sometimes she loves them, others she will pass them up.
She ABSOLUTELY loves fruits--any kind--she hasn't turned her nose up a fruit yet, so when I do buy them, I only buy the ones that have veggies in it. (She doesn't like very many veggies at all)
We don't keep a lot in our house--about 2-4 at a time, and I do use them on the go for the most part.
My kid loves fruits and veggies. We give him the pouches more for a convenient, quick on the go snack. I just have to explain to people watching him that when he asks for "apple juice" he is actually asking for one of the pouches. I cannot get the kid to say sauce lol He calls all of the flavors apple juice.

DS loves them. I don't give them all the time, but like to stock up when they are on sale (which is rarely).
They are an easy snack for on the go, IMO. I especially like the greek yogurt ones as well as the combo veggie ones.
