DD has been a NIGHTMARE the past week and I am officially coughing it up to either teething or this 18 month regression that I have heard so much about. Since we all have babies around 18 months or so what is going on with you?? Do you believe in this sleep regression? I am hoping it passes in the next couple of weeks as we will have a newborn as well in this house and I don't know what I will do with 2 screaming babies

TIA
Re: How is LO sleeping these days??
The 18-month sleep regression never even occurred to me, but it makes sense.
DD2 will be 18 months next week, and the past 2-3 weeks have sucked big time. It *seems* to be getting better now, except for the fact she's moved up her wake up time by an hour. Oy!
We never had that with DD1 because she was a terrible sleeper (thank you never-ending ear infections), so we never really noticed when she was teething or anything...
For your sake I hope it skips your house if it is true. I'm definitely in HELL
I can definitely relate as this morning was...... 5AM!!! Who gets up at that hour willingly, lol!! I'm now praying for 6am and that was early for us just 2 weeks ago
Like a champ lately...except for tonight! To be fair, she slept like sleeping was going out of style most of the day, but she is still tired and she just won't go down tonight. Frustrating!
Seriously, though. Lately this little toddler has had me scratching my head at whatever the heck kind of beast I had during the newborn stages. This girl was impossible for her first 3 months of life, at least. And half impossible for the 3 following that. Now, when we come up on a nap time or bed time, all I have to do is ask her if she's ready to go night-night and she toddles straight to her room - stopping only to retrieve and insert her paci and collect her blanket.
// I love you too. //
Amy, I hear you. I am really scared and DH is not an early riser. We are in big trouble!
18 month sleep regression? I had no idea!
DD hasn't slept as well since we moved about a month ago, and I chalked it up to that. She still STTN most nights, but has been waking up about an hour earlier than normal. She will go back to sleep if I go in there and tell her it's not time to get up yet, but that means I have to get up, and then I'm up for the day. So I guess other than that we don't have it too bad. I did notice she is cutting another tooth as well, and although it doesn't seem to bother her too much, I wondered if that was part of it.
This pretty much describes DD. Last night was the first night since...I don't know how long, weeks....that she wasn't in our bed. I'm not holding my breath, though, it could totally be a fluke.
