Boss is coming to meet me today.. I think he knows im pregnant as i had to tell another member of staff as we have to test with acids and i wasnt sure it was safe. I havent told him yet an its only my second month on the job... Stressed!! Anybody else had this experience?!

    I have not had this experience, but he can't fire you for being pregnant. I hope that it goes well.

    If you want to wait until 12wks, then wait until then! There is no reason you have to tell him now.

    If you want to wait to tell him you should wait. But if you are going to be avoiding a lot of work duties for health concerns it might be best to tell him.

    I wanted to wait 12 weeks to tell, but because of the nature of my job I've had to start spilling it. I'm also in the middle of a huge project with my boss, VP, and other higher ups. I'm nervous too. Like pp said they can't fire us for being pregnant.

    Well meeting went well, boss never asked me so i didnt tell him!! I will tell him at 12wks as at work i am fine and able to perform, its just when i get home im knackered an go straight to sleep!!

    In my experience, most male boss's tend to shy away from the "are you pregnant" questions, I think it makes them uncomfortable and in some ways, it's crossing the line to ask such a personal question. I'm glad your meeting went well and you are able to share your news when you are ready.
