In shock! My insurance covers my breast pump!

This is insane! I call today. My insurance gave me the number of a contracted medical supply company. I called them and tomorrow they'll be delivering me a Medela Pump-in-Style Advance. I pay $50 (20% of the cost of the pump).

That is really not what I was expecting. YAY! Merry Christmas to me!

I have Regence Blue Cross Blue Shield of Oregon. It's not part of a group plan or anything so I was really doubting our plan would cover it but praises be I get a breast pump! It's about time our seriously outrageous monthly premium pays off!

aetna is lame - i have them too and it took a LOT of phone calls to get them to cover my hospital grade with my baby in the NICU. ridiculous!

Good thing you checked. I've posted for people to check a million times. Mine was covered with DD so I wanted to pass that info on. Most people put it on their registry and get lazy and don't check with their insurance. It's nice too because I EBF and didn't really pump, so I didn't feel like I "wasted" my own money!
