Is anybody else's LO dealing with their molars coming in? The last 2 weeks have been absolute hell. She just runs around being all adorable and then all of a sudden inconsolable screaming for at least an hour.
Any tips on how to handle this? I feel terrible for her. I use the Anebsol and the Tylenol, but it doesn't seem to make any difference.
She hasn't been sleeping well so that adds to her crankiness. I haven't been sleeping well, so that adds to my crankiness.
Re: Molars
DS has all 4 molars, but we are currently working on eye teeth. 2 in, 2 to go. They are awful!
I agree, Motrin is all we use in this house. Tylenol doesn't work on my kids.
It's because ibuprofen has an antiinflammatory in it. So it stops the swelling in the gums AND works as a pain reliever. Tylenol just dulls the pain without affecting the cause.
We're working on molar 3 here. Molar 1 was the worst, although molar 2 was no picnic and caused his gum to bleed where it broke through. Both were bottom. Molar 3 isn't so bad so far.
this. She also wears her amber teething necklace. She frucking loves frozen waffles right now because they feel good when she munches on them. We have been fighting the molar battle for about a month.
DD had three come in at the same time. We were dealing with fever, screaming, lack of appetite and an ear ache.
She got Ibuprofen during the day and Tylenol at night. Sometimes, like you said, it still wasn't enough and she had a hard time sleeping anyway.
So, yeah, I have no advice except getting yourself a big glass of wine after she goes to bed.
