My BIL worked for NASA and helped design the mars rover and we were watching him in the inaugural parade. He has since quit his job to work for some weird RV design company that has 2 employees, with no benefits or health insurance, gotten 40+ tattoos, a dui, dated a string of teenagers impregnating 2, the first one had an abortion, and the last one, who just turned 20, is keeping the baby. I know this post probably comes across as judgmental, but it makes me crazy that MIL worships the ground he walks on, and DH and I can do no right in her eyes. I Hope for his sake and his baby's that he straightens out and decides to join the adult world again soon.

And THIS will sound judgy but any adult male dating children (which teens are) is disgusting to me. I totally get your frustration.

Like, seriously. His actual thought processes. What are they? Because I do not understand why he would do such a complete 180. Is he on drugs?

And, yeah, 40+ tattoos? I have FOUR and I don't see how ten times as many as that would even fit on a person. Are they really tiny tattoos? IS he tattooing his face?

His entire shoulders, upper arms and mid forearms, chest and back are completely covered with tats. There really no skin left there. Apparently he's selling junk on ebay so he can pay for more tattoos, instead of buying things for the baby.

He is so creepy. He keeps getting older, and the girls keep getting younger.

Yes, RV as in recreational vehicle. They take old RVs and redo the insides. The business is not very profitable.

I straight up told my MIL that I think the girlfriend shouldn't give the baby BIL's last name. She got all pissy with me and said "but he will be financially responsible" I said even so, seeing a kid every other weekend doesn't automatically give him the right to the baby having his last name. If I were his gf's parents, I would NOT be happy with this whole situation one bit!
