Re: US pic. Looking for info. * added another US pic*
One big gestational sac, two babies.
We heard two heartbeats after the US tech got the doctor to confirm it was twins. She said she needed confirmation from the doctor who said there is definitely two babies.
I told my mom I am still not convinced and she said I would definitely trust the professionals over your inclination.
That is a picture of the same sac but two different angles to show both babies. They saw no separation between the two but showed us two lines that are two spines.
I agree. Doesn't look like twins to me. Did you see two heart beats?

Ladies here is another pic. This one shows the 2 horizontal lines which the US tech told me were the spines. I saw the heartbeats but had no idea it was 2 different ones. One was very fast and the line was all over the place. The second one sounded more distant and appeared to jump less on the screen. She told me after that it was 2 and that's why it sounded different.
I am hoping they call me this week to go see the MFM and they will follow-up with another ultrasound.
This picture make me think twins but it has nothing to do with seeing two spines. to me it looks like there is one baby with a yolk sac in one gestational sac and then it looks like there may be a second gestational sac off to the right that isn't in focus.
Bottom line you really need to go see another doctor for a second opinion. To me it kind of looks like you may have twins but one's that are separate sacs not ID. Keep us updated.

Thank you all. I will be calling the doctor tomorrow for my referral. They said they would call me but I am too impatient to wait.
I have been saying to my husband that I only can see one baby the entire time and he has started to get annoyed with me since he swears he saw two. I was in a fog when they said it so he explained to me in the first pic on the top right there are 2 lines which are both umbilical cords. One baby is behind the other. I saw the 2 dots but that could be anything. I hope I get a clearer picture soon of what is going on.
This is also what I see.
