It seems that my 8-1/2 month old no longer wants his morning bottle. He also doesn't seem to drink all of his milk at any other feeding, but has no problem eating his baby food. Is he just getting older and not in so much need for the milk?
Also, anyone else's babe have trouble with chunkier baby food? Mine gags!
Re: Is it normal for a 8-1/2 month old to not want milk anymore?
DD goes through days where she only wants milk and couldn't care less for her solids and some days she doesn't want milk and I have to pump all day. I just follow her lead on it.
Gagging is fine. It's a learning process for them. Babies gag reflex is very close to the front of their mouth and they need to practice with chunkier foods to move it back. We do BLW but my SIL mixed smoother and chunkier foods together to gradually make it more chunky as they went. Her DS seemed to find it easier to adjust that way.
