Ok, so someone has offered to buy me one of these; I think its pretty cool looking but mostly object to the $300 price tag. We have a fisher price booster (that reclines) that was bought for us already (this doesn't really save us any room, since I don't want to put this on our leather chairs and will have to get a chair just for the booster).
What are your thoughts on the Stokke Chair? I could accept the offer and try and return the booster I have for a more compact/portable booster.... DH is no help in the decision, he's offended by the price tag.
Re: Stokke Chair
We have two of them, one for each kid. We started using them at 7-8 months, once they could reliably sit up, and are both still using them for all meals at 5.5 and 3.5. At Thanksgiving when we were hosting we were able to convert it to adult mode and use them for two adults (we had a separate kids table for them) and the adults said they were very comfortable. I like that instead of having cheap, plastic baby stuff lying around we got two new chairs we can use long-term out of these. They're also really easy to clean since they're just plain wood. I also liked that since there isn't a tray the child sits with the family for meals starting from the time they're eating. Sitting together to eat is important to me, so I didn't like the idea of a high chair that would separate the baby from the rest of the family.
So the offer to buy one of these chairs turned into... "you should pick out what colour you want" GUess I'm getting one.
As for colour, I would like it to match my dining set as much as possible... we have brown leather parsons chairs with espresso wood legs. Other cabinets in the room are white, but there is also black appliances/accents (since we have an eat in kitchen). Suggestions on what colour would be best? white? black? walnut?
