Men pee in the shower?

I can't remember what led to this conversation, but I guess it's because most of my friends are through potty training their first LO's... but anyway, a friend of mine was saying that one night she had her LO in the tub with her, and he peed in it. She then proceeded to say how it was her DH's fault that he did that, because her DH had taught her LO to pee in the shower. Obvious question: Why would he teach him that??? Her answer: Because men pee when they are in the shower because they don't want to get out to go to the bathroom.

Um..... Whaaaat? I asked DH and he says no, but if he did he also probably wouldn't admit to it. I thought she was bananas, but some of the other ladies that were there that night also said the same thing!

If DH does it I don't want to know, because he'll get a serious side eye from me. I get that getting out of the shower to pee is annoying because you get all cold, and the toilet gets all wet and stuff... but seriously? Gross.

    I'm with mrmrsandbaby, I'll admit that I pee in the shower on occasion too! I think you will find that it's not that odd.

    Yeah... Dh totally pees in the shower, and I do too.  I brush my teeth in there as well.

    I pee in the shower. I'm about to clean off, why does it matter? I'd much rather pee in the shower than get water all over my floor and toilet.

    All this. Although I won't be encouraging my kids to do it, especially not while taking a bath.

    Usually I'll do it relatively early in the shower, so all my shampoo, body wash and face wash has a chance to "wash" over the tub with all the hot water. I don't scrub and sterilize the bathtub after every shower, but that's not to say that I don't do a deep clean once a week, which I would do whether or not I peed in the shower.

    Besides, urine is sterile.  You can drink it, use it to kill athlete's foot, control your acne. The things you can do with urine is pretty neat.  FTR, I'm not saying that I've done it, I'm just saying that you can.

    Seriously?  That's so weird!  I have bad acne around when I get my period and used to say I would try anything to fix it, but I don't think I could go that far!

    I'll jump on the bandwagon...I do it too. It started when I was pregnant. I would always go before I got in the shower. But as soon as I would step in the shower and the water hit my stomach I had to go so bad. I stepped out to go and slipped and was able to catch myself. But after that, I was terrified I was going to fall. So I started to go if I was in the shower...

    I also pee in the shower. IDK if DH does but it wouldn't surprise me since I found a giant snot rocket stuck to the back of the shower the other day. THAT was not me.

    lol, I guess I'm the only one that doesn't. I get that urine is sterile and all that jazz, but I like my pee in the toilet.

    I alwyas go before I hop in the shower, but sometimes you just gotta go again.  Now pee in the bathtub-- no way.  I'm not planning to actively teach my kids to pee in the shower, but I'm not going to discourage it either.

    I did this when I was really pregnant and couldn't hold it, but not before or since. I had no idea it was so common.
