Mine doesn't. We can take pictures but no video. I've seen comments on here that some are having their c-sections recorded. Is it for the protection of the doctors? Just curious.
My doctor allowed video with both of my c/s, but only at the very end when the babies were being taken out. So, we have about 30 seconds of video from the operating room.
We could take pictures, one of the nurses even took some for us. I never even thought to ask about video but I think it's something I will for the furture! It would be AWESOME to have that first cry recorded!!!

We can take pictures, but no video. FI was able to video tape his DD's c-section, but she was delivered at a different hospital. The one I'm delivering at has a strict no-video policy on anything. He couldn't even take video of the 20w u/s. Pictures, yes, but not video.
My LO1's CS was video recorded by my SO. But the doctors told him when to start recording. (The vid starts just after they made the cuts but right before they delivered LO) I don't think it had anything to do with legalities but more so that you were recording the exciting part of baby entering the world and the first cry.
"What are you having?" "Well the radiologist says its a healthy little human baby. I'm a little disappointed, because I really wanted a puppy." LOL
Ours allows pictures from the head side of the sheet and no video. The hospital does record the births and I believe it is to protect the doctors in lawsuits. Once DS was out and in the warmer in the OR, DH could take videos of him.
Ours allows video. DH started to video DDs birth but turned the camera off when she came out blue and unresponsive. He didn't think she was going to make it and didn't want that on tape. She turned out to be fine, and was breathing on her own after 30 minute.
I would like him to video this LOs birth since it will hopefully go smoother because it will be a planned RCS.
Re: Does your hospital allow video taken during c-section?
Nope - no video. I don't remember if DH was allowed to take pictures, but he didn't want to see it anyway.
It's to protect the doctors.
