Can I wear purple sweater tights with tall brown or black boots and a jean dress or jean shirt?  I'm 29.  I think it looks cute. . . but am I too old for purple tights?

Edit-- OMG--  not jean shirt-- jean skirt is what I meant.  But either way see my other response below as well.

    I am 30 and I definitely feel too old for purple tights, but I think that's a personal thing at our age. If you feel like you're rocking it, go for it.

    The jean dress poses the biggest fashion question for me. I'd need to see pictures of everything put together to decide.

    The tights are eggplant/dark purple. . . they are the part I'm not sure about.

    Jean dress is not the best way to describe the.  I've worn the dress in the fall/spring with capri length black leggings and flats.  It's not made of thick jean material, I don't even think it's jean material actually- it's thin material like cotton. I'm trying to figure out a way to also wear it in the winter and get more use out of it.

    Is it chambray? My SIL is someone I consider to be very fashionable, and she wears a lot of chambray these days. It sounds like that may be what your dress is made of?

    So something like this (hopefully without the fringe on the boots)?  I think a variation on this would be age appropriate for 29.  I wouldn't wear it to a professional office, but out to a relaxed dinner, in a casual workplace, or running around on a Saturday, sure.
