Swaddling Question....

I normally loosly swaddle P arms out and get 4 hour stretches at night. Last night I tried arms in and he slept 9 to 4:30!!! However when I in swaddled him to feed his arms were sweaty. Onsie was not but it freaked me a bit. When you undo the swaddle is your LO sweaty? I'm going back to loosly swaddle I think even if I go back to 4 hour stretches just freaks me out....

    L is a little sweaty when I unswaddle him. However, he is not overly warm when I feel his head and face. I've also checked him temp a couple of times when I unswaddle and it's always normal.

    I swaddle A in the Halo swaddle sleep sack and it is fleece. He does get a little sweaty sometimes, but his face is never sweaty or red, so I am not concerned about it, and it is never drenched or anything.

    I starters using the Miracle Blanket to swaddle L. DH and I joke about it and call it the straight jacket. It's been great for getting L to sleep more than 6 hours. Some days he's a bit sweaty but others he's not. Like pp mentioned, his head isn't sweaty nor warm so I haven't worried about it.

    Thanks ladies! His head was never sweaty nor warm but the thought of him being a little was freaky....

    I swaddle E and sometimes in 2 cotton blankets since it is colder in our upstairs.  He gets a little sweaty at times, but his face isn't red/hot.  His clothes aren't damp either.  He sleeps much better in a tight swaddle. I don't use fleece anymore.  It was making him break out.
