Was anyone offered an alternative pain management solution? I had the morphine pump after my 1st CS and am anticipating having a RCS this time, but the morphine didn't touch my pain. I was hitting that pump every few minutes for relief, and I am not one to use much pain medication (rarely used as much as half my oral pain meds after each of my 4 knee surgeries).
I believe I was okay by the second day, but that first night was just brutal. Just curious if anyone has any suggestions I can bring to my OB this time, or should I just ask him what he recommends?

I was on roxicet (generic percocet, I believe) for about a day before I stopped taking it because it gave me horrible dreams. (Narcotic meds do that to me.)
I switched to ibuprofen (the huge pills) and was fine.

This was me exactly. I did get sick after surgery when they brought me to my room.
They gave me Duramorph in my epi during my section and I didn't need any pain meds after, I started taking Motrin once I got home but that was all I ever needed.
