I was diagnosed with PCOS and did injectible hormones, hence getting triplets.  I know sometimes they say that pregnancy can "reset" your body and you don't have problems after, but I am wondering how long I should wait for my period before I consider going back to the RE.  I have almost stopped bleeding 3 weeks out, just some small brown spotting. I am going to ask at my postpartum follow-up but I was just curious about what you all thought.

TTC since May 2011
Provera x3 late 2011, no natural response. (Previous BCP for 12 years).
 Dx PCOS April 2012. 
Clomid x 4 - no response.
First FSH/Ovidrel cycle early Aug 2012 - 18 days of injections, slow growth, erratic estrogen levels, triggered Aug 21st. 
BFP Sept 4th and Sept 7th! 
 7wk US Sept 28th - triplets! 
Perfect triplets lost at 20 weeks due to incompetent cervix. Allison Grace, James Alexander and Colin Gregory forever in our hearts!  
IVF #1 10/11/13 -  canceled before retrieval.  
IVF# 2 11/28/13 - retrieval on Turkey Day! Hyperstim - no transfer
FET #1 2/4/14 - miscarriage @ 9 weeks (Trisomy 6) 
FET #2 6/8/14 - healthy normal baby! Due date 2/25/15

    My RE wanted to wait to see me until after my first period after we lost my daughter and then again after the second period to run some additional testing on me.  I am glad that I called when I did because their appointments always fill up really quickly.  We weren't ready to try again and still aren't but I still wanted to meet with him and I am glad that we did. Hugs to you.

    I havent gotten AF yet, but I havent gotten it without medical intervention in 3 years of being off BCPs. I called RE at the end of Dec b/c I know appointments are hard to get, I will be seeing them in Feb.

    That is kinda where my thought process is.  I only had one natural cycle after stopping BCP, 1 year and 3 months prior to getting pregnant with help.  So I was thinking the same thing, that I might just want to try to get an appointment. Thank you!

    I didn't know how bad our IF was until after losing Eliott (we conceived on our 2nd Clomid cycle)- after a few months without AF returning, I went to my OB.  We did a few more Clomid cycles with monitoring, and then I asked for a referral to an RE.  I think it was 5 months after our loss.  If I had known then how bad our IF really was, I would have asked for an RE appointment right away.

    I had an appt with our RE 5 weeks after our loss. My RE had us wait another 2 cycles before starting up again. Both cycles were brought on with provera as are how most of my non medicated cycles. It helped me to go back to our RE and to have a plan.

    I also have PCOS and I got pregnant after an IUI with the help of injectibles.  Unfortunately, we had to terminate the pregnancy 6 weeks ago because it was ectopic.  I had to have 2 rounds of methotrexate to stop the growth of the cells.  

    We have to wait at least 3 months to start trying again, but we are choosing to wait 4 months because we have a large trip to Europe planned for October.  My RE wants to see us soon, but I've been putting off making an appointment.  My RE is relatively easy to get an appointment with so I haven't been stressing it.  I used to have to make appts a month in advance with my last RE, so I think it depends on how long it'll take to get an appt and if you're reading to resume ttc.

    Oct 2011- IUI Cancelled (Clomid, Ovidrel, Crinone)
    Nov 2011- IUI #2 BPN (Femara, Ovidrel, Crinone)
    Took a break and then found a new RE
    Oct 2012- IUI #3 BPN (Follistim, Ovidrel, Crinone)
    Nov 2012- IUI #4 (Follistim, Ovidrel, Crinone)
    BFP on November 29th
    Pregnancy was ectopic and terminated on December 8th
