Addicted to puffs melts

LO is 9 months old almost 10 months and she eats 2 meals a day that consisted of fruit or veggie pure, pasta, avocado, small bits of chicken etc... Then I introduced her to organic puffs made from kale and melts made from acai berry and other fruits that I got from whole foods well now she screams and refuses to eat anything but the puffs and melts!!!! What do I do? I tired to put bits of pear and puffs on her tray and she feels the consistency if it's soft, she drops it if it's hard she eats it!! She amazes me how clever she is but she can't live on just puffs melts. At least they're healthy but do I jut stop giving them to her at all? Anyone else experiencing this??

  • Micah goes through phases of only wanting the easy stuff. Usually, if he sees us eating the grown up stuff, or pretending to eat his, then he's more interested in eating the real food. I'll even put it on my fork and let him pull it off of the fork, and suddenly he's dying to eat it. I wouldn't mix puffs and solids on the same tray though if she's fighting it. I'm sure it's just a phase and you'll get through it!

  • i would say start giving smaller amounts of the puffs, then eventually don't offer them at all. i know "starving them out" may sound cruel, but i guess it's like us overdoing it on cereal! we need variety, and since you have control over the ins & outs here, i would phase them out!

juniper loves these coconut milk based melty creamy puff thingys, they get all stuck to her face and it is adorable. they are super tasty, and sweetened with fruit juices. however, i only allow them as a snack while i am fixing dinner, and whatever she hasn't finished before we move on to her "food" goes into the trash!

ugh. i know how LOs feel. they are addictive!
