Hi ladies! I normally hang out on the adoption boards, but just found out about this new board. DH and I didn't try for very long to get pregnant (in the grand scheme of things)..after about 2 years (including one failed IVF), we decided to just move on to adoption. DH and I had been married 6 years and even though we are only in our late 20s, we knew it was time to move onto the next stage. We were pursuing both embryo adoption and DIA at the same time since we knew DIA could take years. We ended up extremely fortunate and adopted a healthy, happy baby girl very quickly. We still plan to pursue embryo adoption for baby #2 though..possibly even this year. We want DD to be close in age with the next baby and in case I don't get pregnant or carry to term, we want to get started with DIA again as quickly as possible.
We are lucky to be able to do embryo adoption through our RE's office. It is only a couple thousand dollars, no attorneys or home studies are required... guess we'll see what 2013 holds for us!
Re: Intro, hi!
Hello and welcome! Congratulations on your beautiful baby girl, and good luck with your pursuit of DIA and Embryo Adoption. We adopted 5 embryos and are planning an FET in Feb.
I hope 2013 is a wonderful year for all of us.
