Cold med?

What is the best medicine you have found for a cold(runny nose and coughing)?

    I've given my DD this "Maty's All Natural" stuff a few times, and it does seem to help coat her throat with the honey in it.   Im not sure anything has worked better than the humidifier in her room and just waiting it out.   I feel like its sort of tricky that I can't give her much at this age.

    For DC?

    I use either Sudafed or Mucinex depending on the type of cough, but that's just for DD1. I don't think any cold medicine is approved for kids under 4.

    I have been told Benadryl for runny nose. At bedtime or naps... Can make them tired or hyper was what I was told.

    We have a cold medicine for kids older than 2, i don't know if it did help and maybe it didn't help because she would only drink it in juice not straight up.  I can't remembe rwhat's it's called, it's in all the pharmacies
