    LOL - I must admit I read your post and I was SOOO confused. I figured it must be some American joke that this Canadian Mama didn't get or something.

    The answer to #1 is pretty easy: Murphy's Law :D

    As for #2, it's a little trickier. It's kind of like asking "why do people have to give chocolate to a toddler who is 30 minutes from bed time?" The answers are endless: because they'r stupid, because they don't know better, because they secretly hate you, because they have nothing better to do... Take your pick!
