Official Intro

Hi Third-Party Repro board! I'm so happy you're here! I'm a regular poster on IF and IFV but in case you don't already know me already, here's my official intro over here.

DH and I adopted five donor embryo "snowflakes" after battling severe DOR and MFI. We are currently cycling and will be doing our FET on Feb 8. We feel lucky to have an open relationship with the family who donated our embryos to us, however they are not the genetic parents of them. V (which is what I call her on the boards) and her husband received them from an anonymous donor couple themselves via their clinic and that anonymous couple used an anonymous egg donor themselves! Lots of donors involved, so we will likely never know the actual genetic parents. However, it's great to know that we will have a relationship with V and her family since her son will be a 100% sibling of our future child(ren.) I guess I explain it better on my blog below in my siggy lol.

I look forward to getting to know you all since third party reproduction brings quite a bit of intricate issues along with it and it's wonderful to have a group of understanding people. Good luck to anyone else cycling!

That's a really interesting story. It's been really interesting over the past couple of years to read everyone's different avenues to family building, I'm glad you posted it! Good luck with your cycle!

Hi fellow Texan! I am in a suburb of Austin. Not too far! We are doing our ET in San Antonio, though. We almost cycled at HFI in Houston for our IVF this summer but at the last minute the doctor there showed that he was not accommodating with our monitoring in Austin.

That's too bad... I have found HFI to be very accommodating. I did a cycle with them as well...I was going to do this cycle with them but they did not have any donors I wanted to use.

That's too bad... I have found HFI to be very accommodating. I did a cycle with them as well...I was going to do this cycle with them but they did not have any donors I wanted to use.

I know, I really liked them other than that. They kept wanting us to go to Houston for appointments that could have been done here so we had to change.

I confess to knowing your story from lurking on IFV (sometimes I wish that I had posted on IF more so I could be a part of that unique and awesome group of ladies). Wishing you tons and tons of luck with your frozen embries!!!
