Cabbage Patch

Somebody mentioned that a name was the one their cabbage patch kid came with, and it got me thinking.

I remember mine was named Brett... something. I think the middle name was more feminine because I remember being confused at first because Brett seemed like a boy name to me (I think I was five).

What names did your cabbage patch kids come with? Would you ever use them?

I only had one Cabbage Patch doll. Her name was Jolene...I wouldn't use it.

I had 8 Cabbage Patch Kids (well, 7 and a Doll Baby which was a generic one that you could make yourself) and a Koosa. Their names were:

Julienne Marlena

Susannah Rory

Laura Sue (Doll Baby, named her myself)

Judith Alana

Anita Quincy

Garry Marc (changed it to Marc Garry since Marc is my dad's name)

Roxanne Katrina

Sylvia Kate

My Koosa was Candy (I wanted to name her Peppermint but the name could only be 7 letters long).

I don't think I'd use any of those names.

I don't remember any middle names, but I had Norman, Marilyn, and a third whose name I can't recall. I had other dolls named Cherry, China, Sally, and Baby Dear.

I had a Jolene too! Jolene Gail. My other one was Delinda Vivian. I changed her name to Mandy Marie. Yuck on all of those names!

Im pretty sure that this guy was a Cabbage Patch doll. His name was Palmer. No clue what his middle name was.

LOL, its been sinced 1984 for me. So a bit longer, I really like names, so I didnt forget. I had Hanley Achilles, Lorraine Angela, Solange Judy, Kooma (my Koosa, after a sci fi character). The girls play with them now.

I had one named Edwina. I would never use that name, even though it was my great-grandmother's first name.

I had dozens! My first was Emmalina Connie I called her Emma and my second was Arlene Delilah. My boy was Elliot Jack he went by Eli.

All great names in my opinion except maybe Connie.

Mine was Alphonse Edmund. DH wasn't a big fan on Alphonse. If we have a boy we'll use Edward because its a family name - do I get credit for being close?

She was my first Cabbage Patch doll. I had a whole bunch more, but her's is the only name I can remember.

My older sister had one named Megan Michelle. She throw a fit when my parents tried to name me and would only call me Megan Michelle. So my parents ended up naming me Megan lol Michelle is not my middle name but that didn't stop my sister from calling me that until I was about 2!!!

When we got a little older she tried to convince me that I was adopted by showing me her cabbage patch dolls birth certificate!

My childhood CPK's name was Elmira Gayle - and the penalty to touching her was a swift punch (I have video evidence). I wouldn't use it.

I bought one when I was 19 and her name is Cricket Tabitha. I wouldn't ue either of those. My first dog's name was Cricket

Mine was Leslie. I wish I knew what her actual middle name was. I think it might have been Carlotta. In my head, though, I called her "Leslie Callitolada."

I truly wish I could remember my 1st CPK's name because it was horrendous and I changed it immediately to Julie. The only reason I picked this doll was because she had the same hair and eye color as me. I still love the name Julie, but my SIL's name is JulieAnn and that is too close to choose for my child.

Other doll's names - Rupert Jason (he was a bull-fighter from the Mexican collection I guess) I changed his name to Jason Rupert. I also had a baby CPK who I named Joni (mn?) but I have no clue what her original name was. I do not like the name Joni now.

My first was Ricky, my last was Violet and somewhere in the middle was a Cecilia or Amelia (I can't remember which). Those are the only ones I remember and I had a bunch of them.

I vividly recall my brother had one named Thurman.

Mine were Tamara Augustine, Iris Katinka, and Joshua Benoit. I did not realize Benoit was pronounced Benwah until 10 years later in HS French class and I liked it a lot better then. I would probably not use these names but would not question anyone who did.

I don't remember if this was the name she came with, or if I named her after my cousin, but my fav Cabbage Patch doll was Nikki. I would not use that name (well, Nicole) because I knew so many in school and it seemed like most of them were mean.

My little brother had a boy CP doll named Gus. I wouldn't use that one either. I do definitely have fond memories of us playing with Nikki and Gus though. We even had them in our professional photos with us once.

Nicolina Sissie, Eldon Derek, and Glen Jason. I don't have their birth certificates any more, but I still remember the names.

The only one that I'd consider using would be Glen Jason. I won't be using it, but it's the most normal sounding name to me.

I had 3 Cabbage Patch dolls: Ellie Danielle, Juanita Kelly, and Meredith, whose middle name I don't remember.

I wouldn't use any of these names.

I remember one of my sister's dolls was Gabriella Jocelyn. I had the name Jocelyn on my long list for while before DH vetoed it. It doesn't really sound good with our LN anyway.

DD just got Cabbage Patch twins for Christmas: Shayla Crystal and Eloise Emily.

I love both the names Eloise and Emily, but not together.

MEGAN CHRISTINE was her name... I had 1 with yellow yarn hair I guess it was supposed to be curly because it was in loops and both ends were atratched to the scalp! : she had blue eyes. my aunt gave her to me when I was 4. the best investment ever made I played w her and my rainbow brite for the next 8/9 years. I unfortunately lost her in a storage unit but I'm looking for a replacement replica.
